The Radiology and Sonography Techniques Department is one of the vital and modern departments at the Babylon Health and Medical Technical College / Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University. It aims to prepare specialized technical cadres in the field of diagnostic and therapeutic medical imaging. The department provides students with theoretical and practical knowledge in the use of the latest diagnostic X-ray devices, ultrasound (sonography), MRI, CT scan, as well as radiation protection principles. The academic program focuses on integrating basic medical sciences with advanced technical skills, enabling graduates to work efficiently in hospitals and specialized health centers. The department accepted its first batch in response to the urgent need for qualified radiology specialists in the local and regional labor market, while adhering to the highest standards of quality and radiation safety.
